Summer is coming and for many of you that means trying to find ways to keep the kids busy. We are here to help! Hidden Palms Ranch offers summer day camps during June and July!
These are one day camps that will be sure to have lasting memories for each horse lover who comes. Fridays during June/July from 9 am to 2 pm. Camps are age specific. The Pony camp is ages 8-10 and the Yearling camp is ages 11 and up. Each camper will have a horse to work with and learn from. No previous horse experience necessary. Limited to 10 campers per day.

We offer a 5-day Summer Music Academy that provides a fun setting for students in grades K-12 to learn and grow, both musically and spiritually! Academy sessions are taught by contracted instructors who are confessing Christians and who take their mission as teachers/performers seriously. Our half day program is open to elementary-age students with no previous musical experience required. Students spend their week singing in choir, as well as playing Orff instruments, handchimes, and learning about the organ. Parents and friends are invited to join us for a closing concert on Friday, June 28, at 11:30 am.
Cost – $80 per student
Optional t-shirts will be available at an additional cost.
Families enrolling 3 or more children in the K-5 Academy will receive a $10 discount per child if registration is submitted prior to June 1. Please note that if the number of students per family drops below 3, the discount will be forfeited. If you are registering 4 or more students, please do not use the online payment feature.
Middle-High School – 9:00 am to 3:45 pm
Our full day program is open to middle and high school students who are intermediate to advanced level instrumental and vocal musicians. Students spend their week rehearsing in both small and large ensemble settings (instrumental ensembles, choir), learning music theory, and working with faculty in recital and masterclass settings.
Parents and friends are invited to join us for a closing concert on Friday, June 28, at 6:00 PM.
Cost – $175 per student
Optional t-shirts will be available at an additional cost.
A limited number of merit-based scholarships are available for students enrolling in the Middle-High School Academy. Students may be required to audition for a scholarship committee prior to June 1 in order to be considered. Students selected to receive a scholarship will work as Academy Scholars throughout the week, assisting with set-up, check-in, and other Academy needs. Students will create handmade collage paper using glue and acrylic paint to be used in each project. This workshop is geared to grow each student’s confidence and spark the imagination with use of various materials in a new way! Come ready to get messy and have fun!

Students will learn the meaning of foreground, background and perspective along with techniques to create hand dyed paper.
Day 2 – Studio Day
A lesson delving into the art of collage will be taught and applied with students finishing their first project they can be proud of! Students will create this first project using paper dyed on the previous day.
Day 3 – Biography
Students will begin their second design project on day three. In between projects, students will take a gallery tour to discover different artist biographies and statements. Each student will draft their own personal biography and artist statement to reflect their own creative experiences.
Day 4 – Showtime!
After putting the finishing touches on their projects from the previous days, students will select one project to hang in their class’ gallery show! Friends and family will be invited to view the students’ work in their first art show from noon – 12:30. Light refreshments will be served for the opening reception.

Florida has hosted many different kinds of people who thought and interacted with the world around them in different ways. Our four-day camp highlights different historical periods with crafts, activities, and challenges! We look at Native Cultures, European Arrivals, Soldiers and Settlers, and the Age of Steel and Steam to see how tradition and technology have shaped our modern world.
Participants get to handle and identify authentic artifacts from Florida history, and use reproductions as they would have been used in their time. There will be musket-firing demonstrations by experienced living historians, archaeology workshops, and take-home crafts! Recommended for ages 8-12, tickets are $100 for all four days. Space is limited, lunch is included, and scholarships are available!

Fill up your summer with WILD adventures at the Central Florida Zoo! Campers can go behind-the-scenes in Jr. Zoo Keeper, set sail for mysterious islands in Pirates of the ZOOribbean, create their own zoo in Build a Zoo Workshop and discover the “yuk!” side of animal science in Ickyology. These camps, and so many more offer one-of-a-kind and incredibly fun learning adventures.

Camp Details
- Campers must register in their appropriate age group and must be at least the minimum age for the group at the start date of the camp.
- We encourage campers to experience a variety of camps. Repeating camps are the same.
- Each camper will receive a confirmation email with instructions for attending zoo camps.
- Campers will receive a maximum of 2 free t-shirts. Additional T-shirts may be purchased for $10.00 each on the first day of camp.
- Before and After Care available for individual days. Sign-up is available online or at check-in on the first day of camp.
- Each camper must bring a water bottle with their name on it.
- Closed-toe shoes are required.
- All-day campers can bring their lunch or purchase a Safari lunch. Snacks are provided both morning and afternoon. Lunch boxes can be stored in the classrooms.

The University of Florida IFAS Extension office in Seminole County will be holding a 3 day youth camp focused on Entomology. This camp is open to youth between the ages of 9-12 (as of 9/1/18). At this camp, youth will learn insect anatomy, how to catch and identify bugs, and learn the difference between honey bees and native bees. Youth will build their own native bee house, learn to preserve bugs in resin, and create an insect habitat to take home. Finally, youth will learn from professionals in the community about the many jobs available in entomology. After completing payment through Eventbrite, you will receive an email regarding additional information about the camp and how to register your teen in 4-H Online.

Summer Camp 2019.
The camp session dates for 2019 will be June 3rd 2019 – August 9th 2019, Camp runs Monday through Friday 7.00am – 6.00pm. The Salvation Army offers a safe environment with fully trained and experienced staff.
Summer Camp enrollment will begin April 2019.
The Salvation Army office is located at 700 West 24th Street in Sanford. You will need to come to the gymnasium entrance where you can fill out your application. You will also need to bring the first full week’s registration fee (non refundable). Registration will be open to children between the ages of 5-13.
The cost for the camp will be $70.00 per week for 1 child, $140.00 a week for 2 and $190.00 a week for 3 and field trips are extra. Lunch and snacks will be provided.
Camp activities will include:
Sport’s, video games, music, Arts & crafts, exciting field trips, Swimming plus much more.

PAL Camp is available to all children ages 5-14, children do not have to live in Seminole County to participate; however, we do follow the Seminole County School Board Calendar. Spring camp will be held from March 18th to the 22nd, 2019. The application deadline for Spring Camp is Friday March 15, 2019. The 2019 Summer camp will be held from June 3, 2019 to August 2, 2019.
There is a non-refundable $50.00 per child registration fee to enroll children in Summer Camp. The weekly fee is $90.00. The camp hours are 7 AM to 6 PM with organized activities occurring from 9 AM to 4 PM. Each camper is responsible for bringing their lunch and 2 snacks each day as we do not provide any food.
Seminole County Sheriff’s Office PAL Camps is a proactive initiative to offer low cost, safe and supervised activities to youths during Seminole County Public Schools Spring and Summer breaks. We have limited spots available for our 2019 Summer Camp, so register early.
