So you’ve heard all about the Sanford Selfie Competition, and you know that the top winning #SanfordSelfie wins $100 Selfie Dollars. But what exactly are Selfie Dollars, anyway?

elfie Dollars are currency intended for use in small, family-owned Sanford businesses. The Sanford Selfie Competition is all about supporting Sanford, and the people who make it great, which is why we chose to award a prize that would put money back into our small businesses.
So how does it work?
When our judges choose the winning selfie of the month, Sanford365 contacts the winner and presents them with a list of merchants participating in the Selfie Dollars Program. The winner can then choose up to 4 different businesses from the list, and Sanford365 will present gift cards from the businesses to the winner in $25 increments. For example, the winner might choose $25 to spend at Rabbitfoot on records, $25 to spend at Wondermade on marshmallows, and $50 to spend at Maya Books and Music, or $100 to eat at Hollerbach’s with friends.
For our launch month of April, our very generous main prize sponsor, the Corner Cafe, will not only be making the $100 Selfie Dollars possible, but also offering a dinner for four guests at his restaurant! in addition to that, Palm Tree Computer Systems is giving away a blue tooth enabled selfie stick every month, ideal for all you avid selfie takers.
