Follow our Sanford 365 Date Night Ambassadors as they take on Date Night #2 in Sanford, FL. Thank you for sharing your experience, Tracy and Mike! Be sure to follow Tracy & Mike on their many adventures @tracytakesiton Thank you also to The Rosie Lee Co. and Mr.Z’s for donating the perfect date night for our date night ambassadors March Date Night!
The hubs and I have been together for almost 20 years and the month of March marks our 15th wedding anniversary! What better way to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday than with a date night in Sanford!?!?!
We officially kicked off our extra special date night by stopping into the very cozy The Rosie Lee & Co. to sip yummy teas and then kicked up our feet and allowed the salt to takeover the room as we drifted into relaxation at Antidote Apothecary & Spa’s Salt Room. Say hello to some much needed R&R!
After dragging each other out of our relaxed state, we hopped on over to Mr. Z’s to try one of their signature items off their menu. Their authentic Philly Cheese Steak, we could not walk in and not try their cheese steak. I’m a Philly gal myself and I simply had to put their cheese steak to the test and see if it tasted like a piece of home. And guess what…. they passed with flying colors! This Philly girl is one happy gal!
Once we devoured our food, we snagged a great spot to watch the St. Paddy’s Day Truck Pull. What’s a Truck Pull you ask? Well it’s simply that…a team puts themselves to the test as they put all their might into pulling a Fire Truck! You read that right, humans on one end and a Fire Truck on the other. Come on now if that’s not entertaining then I don’t know what is.
And last but certainly NOT least, we ended the night by cheers’ing to my birthday celebration by popping over to Hollerbach’s Willow Tree Cafe to have a German brew and pretzel… and to see a few of my favorites; Head Chef, Pat Story and Owner, Linda Hollerbach. As mentioned in my submission for the Sanford Date Night Ambassadors this has now become my birthday tradition, as this was the 9th year in a row where I have celebrated at the Willow Tree Cafe. To say I love Hollerbach’s and the Hollerbach family would be an understatement. I always feel right at home when I visit and have the best time dancing to the music, sharing stories over great food and yelling zicke, zacke, zicke, zacke, hoi hoi hoi as the well known Das Boot makes it’s appearance.
If that wasn’t a full day spent Sanfording, then I’m not sure what is. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening together and could not have dreamt of a better place to celebrate our love. Two date nights down and ten more to go!!
