sanford community clean up Sanford Community Clean up

When: Sunday September 11th,  9:30AM-11PM

WhereHistoric Downtown Sanford

What: The time has come my friends, the summer will be over and we return to taking care of our city of Sanford.

September 11th is looked at nationally as a day of volunteering, and in 2009 Congress designated it as a National Day of Service and Remembrance – with volunteerism and community outreach going on nationwide to become “one of the largest days of charitable service in US History”. So let us truly pay honor to that day with heading out to the streets of Sanford and helping to steward the town we live in – our home!

We will meet starting at 9:30am – 9:45am, and then head out to clean from 10am – 11am in teams covering as far around downtown as we can, to the Riverwalk, and from 1792 to Mellonville if we have enough volunteers.

Afterwards we will meet for a drink from Paul Williams at Celery City Craft and a meeting to catch up, and design how we will approach the cleanups for the fall.

PLEASE RSVP so we can get an idea of how many plan on being there and how much ground we can cover. Stay tuned here for meeting locations/etc.
