Day 15 – Dairy Queen on Park

Dairy Queen Sanford Park Ave

“This is a wonderful Mid-Century sign at the Dairy Queen in Sanford on Park Drive. The Sanford Dairy Queen opened in 1953 and still uses the retro design motif. My favorite treat is a peanut butter blizzard. Keep an eye out for airplanes since the store is in the flight path and less than a mile away from the Orlando Sanford International Airport.”

Nelson shared this awesome picture with me a couple of weeks ago so I could use it for my challenge. I love that it has a vintage vibe to it and it pictures one of Sanford’s most popular ice cream places. Luckily, in Florida it’s always time for ice cream, isn’t it?
