The Imperial at Washburn Imports is without a doubt one of my favorite places in Sanford. Just look at their amazing bar and there’s no denying that this is by far one of the most unique places in town. Add in the fact that this very bar is located inside a super cool furniture store and you have the perfect setting for unforgettable evenings full of great conversations with friends. “Well, I couldn’t wait too much longer to share a photo/post about The Imperial at Washburn Imports on First Street in Downtown Sanford. Without sounding like too much of a lush, I do have to say that The Imperial is practically our second home. Yes, it is a unique and gorgeous bar (just check out that woodwork, creativity and craftsmanship)! And yes, they serve some fabulous cocktails, beers, and wine! But perhaps what we enjoy most about The Imperial are the relationships we’ve formed there. Sam and Keith have fast become our favorite bartenders/mixologists, guiding us through the science and chemistry of various libations. And once a week you’ll often find Mike, the manager, frying up some bacon for their bacon whiskey. Do they have TVs? No. Live music? Just on Thursdays. Miller Lite? Absolutely not! It’s a craft beer and cocktail bar! And that’s what we love. A place where we can sip on classic or unique drinks and carry on actual conversation for an hour or two without being drowned out by cover songs or football game. October marked their one year anniversary and we hope to celebrate many more with them!”
