1. Family Friday Fun Night

2. Comet Watch: LoveJoy
When: Friday, January 16 and Saturday, January 17 from 7:30-10:30pm
Where: Buehler Planetarium at Seminole State College – Sanford/Lake Mary Campus, 100 Weldon Boulevard, Sanford, FL
What: Join the planetarium staff and members of the Central Florida Astronomical Society this weekend as we observe the bright new Comet Lovejoy, visible high in the southern skies. Telescopes and binoculars will be available on both Friday and Saturday evenings from 7:30-10:30 p.m. We will be setting up the telescopes and binoculars in the faculty/staff parking lot to the north of Building B on the main campus of Seminole State College.

Regularly scheduled planetarium shows will still be presented at 8:30 p.m. both evenings: “Central Florida Nights” on Friday, and “Story of the Universe” on Saturday.

The Story:

5. Organic Seed to Garden: Sprouting Seeds for Spring

Where: Public History Center 301 W. 7th Street, Sanford, FL
What: A Hands-On Educational Workshop! Learn how to start your own organic seeds this spring! Join us for this informative workshop, where you will learn about the historical roots of organic gardening and what you need to know in order to get seeds started, including:
