Our Sanford365 events calendar is looking pretty bleak due to…well you know, but we want you to know that we are always here to support you and our local businesses the best we can. So if we have left anyone out that is located in Sanford, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us and share what you’re doing to keep your business active! If you have a fun activity you would like to see on our list, please share it with us! Contact us HERE!

We wish you all wellness and happiness in this time of unknown, please take this time to squeeze your loved ones a little tighter and enjoy the extra time together.

**Please be sure to continue to follow the Center for Disease Control guidelines…

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, then discard the tissue.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick. If you are sick, stay home and practice “social distancing.”

(We will do our very best to update all of this information as things continue to change, but please call businesses to verify their hours and if any changes have been made).

Support Local:

  • Help our local community by donating to Sanford’s licensed 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, The Picnic Project. They need are help now more than ever. (The Picnic Project is known for serving amazing meals to our friends every Sunday. We also have our client choice pantry, The Picnic Basket, which helps supplement groceries throughout the week to many in the community. With so many people losing their income because of restrictions, closures and layoffs, along with some food pantry closures, The Picnic Basket will be needed more than ever. We anticipate triple the volume of those seeking food assistance in the coming weeks and months. Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida has declared The Picnic Project as a Corona Virus Relief Agency and we will be working closely with them and others ensure no one goes hungry during these uncertain times. We are planning to maximize our purchasing power and focus on grocery distribution, using pre-packed bags to limit contact and congregation. We will distribute them on Fridays from 10-12 and Sundays 1-3. We recently purchased over one ton (about 2,700 pounds) of food from Second Harvest for $600, which made packages for 130 families. Less than $5 provides multiple meals for a family of four!)
