Only 2 more weeks and it’s time for the biggest Irish celebration of the year, St. Patrick’s Day! I put together a list of events and things to do on or shortly before St. Patricks Day.
BEFORE St. Patrick’s Day:
It’s a Green Thing – Alive After Five Street Party on First Street in Sanford, FL
This month Sanford honors St. Patrick’s Day. The party starts at 5pm on March 12th and will end around 9pm. Be prepared for lots of live entertainment including Steve Reel and the Reels with their Riverdance-influenced blend of Celtic and Classic Rock on the main stage.
Where to Celebrate St. Patricks Day 2009 on Tuesday, March 17th:
Toast at Fiddler’s Green
Winter Park’s famous Irish pub has drink specials and will surely be packed so arrive early!
544 West Fairbanks Avenue
Winter Park, FL
call (407) 645-2050 for more information.
St. Patrick’s Day 2009 Block Party in Downtown Orlando, starting at 8pm:
As every year there will also be lots of action in downtown Orlando. One of my favorite events is the street party at Wall Street Plaza. With live music and entertainment all night long, drink specials and the participating bars and clubs, including Wall Street Cantina, Slingapour’s, and the Monkey Bar a fun St. Patrick’s Day party is guaranteed. Admission is $10 per person.
St. Patty’s Day Bash 2009 at Universal City Walk
Reserve your spot for the St. Patty’s Day bash at CityWalk featuring leprechauns, stilt walkers and other entertainment. There will be live music and of course traditional Irish food. I am curious to see what Pat O’Brien’s will offer; I am sure that will be the hot spot for the night. The admission is $12 per person. Call 407-224-2690 for more info and to get your ticket today.
For those of you who never get enough of a good St. Patrick’s Day Celebration, check out Pat O’Briens’s EVERY 17th of each month for a special St. Patty’s Day Party. Here’s more info from their web ad:

Thanks for mentioning that here – how could I forget? We go here a lot and enjoy the atmosphere. Not so thrilled with the service (which we mentioned last time we went so I hope it improves) but still a great and stylish Irish pub. Will soon post more about it 🙂
