Krampusnacht at Hollerbach’s – 5. Dezember 2022
When: December 5th, 6-8pm
Where: Hollerbach’s Willow Tree Café German Restaurant, 205 E 1st St, Sanford, FL 32771
What:
??????? ?? ?????? ?? ??????? – ??? ?????’? ??????? ??? ??? ?? ????? ??…
…except come to Hollerbach’s on Montag December 5th and meet the dreaded old horned goat-demon himself in person! Even with so many ???????? children to stuff in his sack and so many people around the world to terrify, Krampus is still finding time to honor us with a visit for the FIFTH year in a row!
??? ?? ???? ?? ????????
We’ll give you the brief version: according to certain traditions, ??? ???????? (St. Nicholas) is sometimes accompanied by a “helper” to deal with the naughty kids while he reads stories and gives presents to the good kids: either Knecht Ruprecht or the feared unholy Dämon known as Krampus, who wears a basket to carry bad children away!
But in parts of Europe – and more recently, even here in North America – there’s also a growing tradition of people dressing up in frightening Krampus costumes and forming a parade in the village to wreak havoc in the streets, scream like demons, rattle chains and bells, and generally cause non-violent mayhem: the ???????????, or Krampus Run. Krampus was so impressed with last year’s turnout that he wants to see another Krampuslauf in Sanford this year, which will run at 8 pm from Hollerbach’s German Restaurant to our friends at West End Trading Co. just a few blocks away for a free heavy metal show!
????? ????????? ??????? ??????? ????? ??? ?? ????:
– This event is free to attend – no admission, no cover charge, no reservations
– Krampus costumes not required but highly encouraged! Suggested sources of design inspiration include YouTube and Facebook Events and Groups with “Krampus” in the title
– Although Hollerbach’s is a family-friendly establishment, please keep in mind that Krampus, the guests dressed as him, and the images displayed on screen will create an atmosphere that could be too intense and even frightening for children who don’t understand that Krampus is NOT REAL (or is he?…)
– Our German Restaurant will be still be offering the full regular menu, but there will also be a special Krampusnacht menu – details coming soon!
– Traditional folk music show 6-9 pm with Jimmy & Eckhard!
– Naughty and Nice Cake Balls from our German Market!
– We’ll have Krampus-themed merchandise from our Outfitters German folk clothing and gift shop.
– We will be serving a ??? ???????-?????? ?????-????? ??????? ???? from Sanford’s own Deviant Wolfe brewery!
– – Krampus dolls by Myrcury’s Toybox will be available again this year!
Help us preserve this bizarre and only slightly (?) terrifying German holiday tradition…come experience Krampusnacht at Hollerbach’s!
