This elementary musical theater camp introduces your child to theater basics! They will learn songs and dances from popular shows like Disney’s Frozen Jr., Footloose, Legally Blonde, and more! All students get a camp t-shirt.
Senior Musical Theater Camp

Target Camper Age: Grades 6-12
Students will work together to produce the popular musical Xanadu Jr.! Students will learn the process all the way through auditions, rehearsals, technical assistance and final performance! All students get a camp t-shirt.

Summer Art Camp with Julie Latayan

Julie Latayan delves into color, form and various acrylic painting and drawing techniques to teach students how to express themselves. Students will create self portraits and animal portraits on unlikely materials. Students will come away with multiple finished pieces ready to don the halls of their own home gallery. Students will be provided with beverages but must bring their own snack.About the teacher: A self-taught artist, Julie began her career as a painter and muralist. Her love of art and wish to share her talents led her to teach high school art for five years, and later open her own gallery/studio. When Julie is not exhibiting at art fairs or filling gallery orders, she now teaches sculpting workshops for adults and children.Safety precautions: We requires each student to wear a mask. Students will be seated at their own six foot table, located a safe distance away from others.

Our Summer Camp returns after a year-long hiatus July 6th-9th, 2021. In a plague-year special, we will be talking about how different peoples, nations, and cultures dealt with disease and pandemics in the past, as a way to understand our present. The University of Florida IFAS Extension office in Seminole County will be holding a camp focused on Entomology.
The University of Florida IFAS Extension office in Seminole County will be holding a five day camp focused on Entomology. This day camp is for youth ages 12-18 (as of 9/1/20). During this hybrid camp, teens will learn how to catch and identify bugs, preserve them, and start their own collection. Teens will receive their own pinning equipment and learn how to create an insect habitat. Finally, youth will learn from professionals in the community about the many jobs available in entomology. The virtual component of camp will be hosted through Canvas with live Zoom interactions with teens.
Tentative Camp Agenda:
Monday- Fieldtrip to catch bugs
Tuesday- Virtual programming
Wed.- ½ participants in person for pinning, other ½ virtual activity
Thurs.- ½ participants in person for pinning, other ½ virtual activity
After completing payment through Eventbrite, you will receive an email regarding additional information about the camp and how to register your teen in 4-H Online. Additional materials for camp will be available for pickup at your local UF/IFAS Extension Office- details will be emailed after registration.
Face coverings are required for all participants at in-person events. Individuals at a higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19 (including older adults and vulnerable people of all ages with certain underlying medical conditions) should avoid in-person events and gatherings at this time.
