Sanford witnessed an awesome collision of great events last Saturday. The monthly downtown Food Truck Bazaar (every 3rd Saturday of the month on Palmetto & 2nd), the Panorama opening reception, and the soft opening for Rabbitfoot Records all blew up 2nd Street, and Sanford365 was there to soak up every minute. In a rare happening: Claudia, Jessica, and myself were all in the same place at once, taking pictures, chatting about the photos and having a ball. We were especially thrilled to see the results of Panorama, a Sanford photography project conceived and presented by our friend, Elizabeth Kruckemyer.
Elizabeth hid disposable cameras all over town, inviting anyone who came across them to take pictures of Sanford. The photos are now on display at the new Rabbitfoot Records, and they look great hanging in the historic/industrial space. The photos were a great cross-section of Sanford: we saw everything from beautiful views of the lake and Riverwalk to up close and personal shots of a donkey in a local pasture. The show itself attracted many of Downtown Sanford’s artistic minds for a fun evening of mingling and oogling the photos.
Thank you, Elizabeth, for creating such an amazing project for us all to enjoy! (And thanks Gene and Nancy for putting on a great party.)
