That means classic Derby Day standards, from the race, to the drinks, to the attire…timeless traditions, homestyle fun.

Start your afternoon with a freshly crafted mint julep from the Imperial, then mosey your way through our buffet of classic Southern fare with a Sanford spin from Magnolia Square Market, PDQ, and Riverwalk Pizza.
Wondermade will be serving up their sweet, pillowy marshmallows alongside all organic Colombian chilled coffee by Rabbitfoot Records and crisp iced tea from Kathleen’s Klozet.
Our official event photographer Jessica Lynn will be snapping candid shots of everyone in their dapper Derby day attire, but you can also create your own fun memories with Photoboom’s photo booth!

While you sashay about in your Derby duds, we will have…
a complimentary craft beer sampling by local brewers, including soon-to-be downtown Sanford microbrewery Sanford Brewing Company,
Family friendly lawn games, including Belgian petanque, provided by Buster’s Bistro,
and a fabulous Ladies Hat Contest and Dapper Gentleman’s Ensemble contest sponsored by Kathleen’s Klozet and Boxelder who graciously donated a $100 gift card to their fabulous store as well as two fancy mint julep glasses. The best dressed gentleman is awarded a bottle of Bourbon.
…all leading up to the most exciting two minutes in sports, the Kentucky Derby itself!
The race airs at 6:24pm, and we will be showing it live. If you would like to wager on a horse, the Kentucky Derby recommends Twin Spires as a betting portal.
We are crossing our fingers for good weather, and very thankful to the Sanford Welcome Center and Alive After Five for donating the use of tents and tables to protect us from all types of weather, rain or shine!
