For those of you who lean more towards a fresh cocktail more than a beer, I have the new place
for you! For what is close to 5 years now, wife of Florida Craft Brewery owner, Nikki Basso along with
friend Brittany Gindin have had the dream of opening a mobile wine/champagne bar to go along with the
multitude of only-food trucks we so often see. However, after a number of obstacles to make this dream a
reality, they put it on pause until they could come up with the right way to do it.
When Walter acquired the space for the brewery, the girls knew it was the perfect opportunity to
make their idea come to life. The name Two Awkward Birds comes from their love of Flamingos and
their awkward but lovable and beautiful nature. With matching tattoos, as well as a giant blow-up float
named Floyd (who they fold up and make Walter carry to take on all vacations), they knew it would be a
perfect logo for them. You will also usually spot them wearing matching bright flamingo earrings!
Brittany and Nikki wanted to create a place that would be family friendly after discovering their
own kids wanted to try all of the juices and drinks that they were test making at home. With cute ideas
like Twizzler straws (um, yes please!), kids and guests who prefer non-alcoholic beverages will have the
option to enjoy a refreshing drink when going out!

I got the chance to try their signature drink, the Ghost Mary – a healthier and lighter version of a
Bloody Mary. Made with tomato water and different peppers, this drink is super refreshing and comes in
a heat level of mild, medium, hot and nuclear, which let me tell you is not for the faint of heart, but if you
love a little kick, this is definitely for you.
After finding an airstream that definitely needed some love, their husbands were able to fix it up
into something fun and welcoming. Until the opening alongside Florida Craft in October, they currently
offer mobile party options where you can hire them to serve drinks from their fresh and delicious menu
you decide to purchase for your event, in either their 21ft or 10ft airstream. Their menu currently has 6
different cocktails, all which include fresh juice made on site, as well as beer, wine and champagne. They
also offer different mimosa options, great for those of you who like your mimosa mostly champagne with
only a hint of OJ like me. They created their “30 karat” diamond ice cubes out of fresh juice in which you
can pick your flavor, drop it into your champagne, and allow the juice to release slowly for that sweet
fruity taste.

While they won’t be serving meals, they will offer what they like to call their “no waste”
homemade dips and chips- all made from the leftover veggies and juice they use for their drinks. When it
is parked at the brewery, you will be able to purchase anything on their menu inside or outside. In the
future, they are also hoping to get a golf cart where they can pick commuters up from the Sunrail and
drop them back off before their departure time on certain weekdays.

Whether you’re an awkward bird yourself or not, this new area is going to be great for any
person, family and day of the week.
