Now here is something many of you, including me, haven’t ever tried… Nelson visited Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken in Sanford and here’s what he thought about gizzards…
“Have you ever had gizzards? Neither have I until recently when I tried them at Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken in Sanford. Gizzards are organs found in the digestive tract of some animals. Kinda gross sounding but they were actually very tasty. You can even get them with a side of livers, again not bad either. Both livers and gizzards are a true Southern classic.”
