Holiday season typically also means several stops at the post office for me. The closest one from our home is the “Lake Monroe Station”. Today was the first day I ever noticed the black history plaque in front of the office – however only after I took this picture. I am planning to snap a picture of the plaque next time I go and will post it here so we can all learn a bit more about the history of “Lake Monroe Station” 😉
Even though the post office is basically located in Sanford, its Zip code and address actually list it as Lake Monroe (755 Monroe Rd, Lake Monroe, FL 32747).
