Emiliano’z Mexican Restaurant in Altamonte Springs
Friday night we got to experience a great Mexican restaurant in Altamonte Springs (about 15-20 minutes from Sanford at the corner of 436 with 434). Having tried many Mexican restaurants over time and being half Mexican, I can truly say Emiliano’Z is a fabulous restaurant for those who like to experience a more authentic Mexican cuisine in an elegant yet rustic decor with beautiful wood floors, high ceilings and the outside porch overlooking Lake Pearl.
The service was great with very friendly waiters and the chips and salsa dip included before your meal (delicious! in case you are a “dips fan”, try the cheese dip with an extra order of Jalapenos, mhmm!). The Margarita’s taste fresh, not just like Margarita mix, and even here you will find a big varierty to choose from. Also included on the drinks menu is a “Tequini”. If you only feel like having drinks here, the bar is large and looks quite inviting. In the background you will hear any type of Mexican music at just the right volume, so you and your company can have a normal conversation.
To talk about the menu a bit, prices range from $7.99-$16.99 for dinner and from $7.49-$9.99 for lunch (11am-3pm) and servings are a very good size (few of us actually managed to finish, as much as we would have loved to!). The menu items include far more than the regular Fajitas, Tacos and Burritos you will find everywhere. I was happy to see Nopalitos on the menu, too 🙂 The variety is great and will make you want to go back to try one of their other especialidades.
