When I saw Chef Michael’s ad about an Irish Dinner on St. Patrick’s Day weekend I was immediately intrigued by it. Not only because I simply love everything St. Patrick’s Day but also because I had never really tried Irish food (with exception of Shepherd’s Pie). So Friday evening we managed to have a little date night and enjoyed this truly fantastic dinner:
- Savory Scotch eggs served with Michael’s own dijonaise
- Loaded potato soup served in a scrumptious bread bowl
- Corned beef served with cabbage and braised vegetables all smothered in a rich sauce made from the rendering
- A thin mint parfait: chocolate ice cream topped with green mint and a mint-chocolate cookie
