Day 12 – Tree Lined Boulevards in Sanford

Today’s picture was snapped by Nelson during the week and shows off one of the things I love so much about Sanford: tree lined boulevards. This also marks Nelson’s first post on Sanford365. So excited to have him on board!

“Sanford has a handful of boulevards that make for a nice change of scenery. This is the Hibiscus Court Boulevard which is lined with Florida’s official state tree, the sabal palm also known as the palmetto palm. The sabal palm received this designation in 1953 long after this beautiful boulevard was platted. Keep an eye out for Sanford’s other boulevards as they are tucked away in unsuspecting locations.”
