“Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I love you tomorrow, you’re always a day away” most of us know the popular song from the famous Annie musical, a story about a lively little red headed girl who lives in an orphanage ran by the awful miss Hannigan.
As a child I remember watching the movie Annie as all the girls ran wild in the orphanage doing flips on their beds, swinging from lights and singing their hearts out about how their lives were hard-knock. And so when I heard Annie was going to be showing at the Wayne Densch I just knew I had to take some time out of my busy schedule to see it!
And that is just what I did, I spent last night photographing the play’s dress rehearsal and fell in love with the story all over again! If Annie is also one of your childhood favorites or maybe you or your kids have never seen it, then be sure to catch one of the shows this weekend or next.

Annie
With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone’s hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. She is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage that is run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan’s evil machinations… and even befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt! She finds a new home and family in billionaire, Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.
About Annie, The Musical (from Wikipedia)
Annie is a Broadway musical based upon the popular Harold Gray comic strip Little Orphan Annie, with music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin, and book by Thomas Meehan. The original Broadway production opened in 1977 and ran for nearly six years, setting a record for the Alvin Theatre (now the Neil Simon Theatre). It spawned numerous productions in many countries, as well as national tours, and won the Tony Award for Best Musical. The musical’s songs “Tomorrow” and “It’s the Hard Knock Life” are among its most popular musical numbers.
