Holiday Open House – Fables & Folklore

Where: Gallery on First 211 E. 1st street Sanford, FL 32771

Our Friday evening event is free and open to the public. Enjoy seasonal cocktails and hors d’oeuvres as you peruse the gallery and get your holiday shopping done early!

Inspired by fables and folklore from Scandinavia, our featured holiday theme revolves around a modern folktale written by Jessica Hiemstra. This collection is inspired by the unlikely meeting between a fox and a hare. Ornaments, tableware & gifts enhance this story of friendship that is bound to enchant you and yours.

“I was smitten by this fresh new holiday collection because it includes home décor as well as ornaments and gifts, says gallery owner Jeanine Taylor. “The color scheme is a sophisticated palate of twilight blue, burgundy and bronze. It is a nice transition from Thanksgiving into Christmas.”

A customer favorite, musical retro T.V.s will also be back. “We sell out of these every year”, Taylor adds.

Hand painted ornaments from Uzbekistan will also be returning. These vivid, intricately patterned ornaments mirror folk art designs from fairy tales and legends. “Every country has folk art and traditions and this gives me an entree’ into holiday décor from all over the world,” explains Taylor.

“Besides plenty of traditional red & green to choose from, we are adding a “Pet Tree”. This is a special request from our shop dog, Louie”, quips Taylor
