America’s largest flea market FLEA WORLD was torn down in 2016. Below is an old article I wrote about a visit at Flea World many years ago. I am keeping this post up for nostalgic reasons 😉

Sanford is home to America’s largest flea market, Flea World. Located on highway 17-92 (you know you are getting closer when you pass Bargain Boulevard), this huge area of air conditioned warehouses (though open on sides, therefore not really cool) offers its visitors pretty much anything you might be looking ford, from clothing and accessories to perfumes and electronics. There are also lots of “specialty booths” present, like custom license plates. Flea World is definitely worth a visit if you live in the Central Florida area. I have bought some smaller items here in the past, including perfume, CDs and handbags. If you are a patient shopper bargain hunter or negotiator, you will definitely find something to your taste here :o)
Local businesses are also encouraged to start their own booth here. It can get them great exposure and is not as expensive as you might think. Vendors, visit the web site for more information about the process and Flea World in general.
Here is their information:

beautiful pictures!!!!!!orlando I love you!!!!!
You need to have more picture of this place.
I love Flea World in Sanford. I’ve been going there since I was a kid and it’s pretty much stayed the same. The only difference is that you never know what you might find.
Since the vendors are always changing you never know what sort of merchandise, service or just down right different thing you might come across.
And of course there are those things that you can count on to be there. Like the dollar stores and the stores with the different candies. I love that there is so much variety. The only downfall is that there is no air conditioning or heat so you are pretty much open to the elements. But if it’s hot out there’s always cold beer!
Happy Shopping!
