Since I hadn’t been to a Thai restaurants in years (weird because I love the Thai cuisine) I was looking forward even more when we and friends who were visiting from Chicago decided to eat at Ayothaya Thai Cuisine in Orlando (Sand Lake restaurant area).
I had completely forgotten though how spicy even an as “medium” categorized dish can be. Nevertheless, I truly enjoyed Ayothaya Thai Cuisine’s food and was very pleased with the service. We even stayed so long that the owners had to turn the light on and off (subtly of course) to get us out š
For those of you who enjoy great Thai cuisine at a very reasonable price, check out Ayothaya Thai Cuisine. I am sure we will be back before too long.
I loved the Tom Kha Shrimp, a coconut milk soup with shrimp, mushrooms, yellow onion and a touch of lemon grass, cilantro, green onion, Kaffir lime leaves and lime juice. Perfect combination!
My main dish was the medium (I guess mild would have suited me better) Red Curry, cooked with Chili paste in coconut milk with bamboo shoots and fresh vegetables. The dish comes with rice and is plenty to fill you. I think I might even share next time…
