Seminole State ForestOn this spectacular Sunday (temperatures in the mid 70s and sunny) we decided to go for a walk. Jose recently “discovered” Seminole State Forest so we decided to check it out. As you enter the premises (right off 46 in Sanford, going towards Lake County) you will see a gorgeous little lake surrounded by trees and rest area next to the parking spaces. From there you can start your hike – yes, hike. So needless to say, we were not prepared for that, with open shoes, stroller and all, but we’re planning to be back to “explore the forest” sometime soon, we might even go for a ride as there is a nice equestrian trail here too.

Right next to the parking area is a large map display along with brochures so you can get a good overview of what you can do here.

I will report back once we have actually gone for a hike or ride, but for now, click here for more info on Seminole State Forest.
