Meat LoafHonestly, I have no idea why I always thought it was hard to do a meatloaf. When I recently watched a friend do it, I realized how easy it really was. So I created my own version of her recipe (I added pickles to “germanize” it) and it turned out so yummy!

When I saw it baking in the oven I just had to take a picture of it (proudly smiling from one ear to the other). I can only describe this photo with the German expression: “Der Braten brutzelt im Ofen.” Since I just couldn’t come up with the English equivalent I used Google Translate (which I never do because it typically doesn’t come out right): “The roast is sizzling in the oven”. I guess you get the idea 😉
