It’s the last weekend of 2014 so why not end the year with some great local art, a fun pub crawl, a race or the best a Capella show in America? Here are our top 4 events for the weekend of December 26 – 28.

Sanford Art Walk
When: Friday, December 26 – 6-8pm
Where: Downtown Sanford and the Historic Sanford Welcome Center (230 East First Street, Sanford, FL 32771)
What: The Historic Sanford Welcome Center invites you to the Sanford Art Walk, a juried art show in the Historic Sanford Welcome Center, and a walking tour of the art venues located in historic downtown Sanford. The event at the Welcome Center will include live music and lots of ART!
The juried exhibit will hang in the Welcome Center for the month following the event, until setup for the next month’s event begins. During the hanging, the artwork may be sold through the Welcome Center.
This month’s theme: Sanford Art Contest – Join us as we display the works from our Sanford Young Artists Exhibit, art created by Seminole County High School Students that celebrates life in Sanford: our wonderful parks, lifestyle, waterfront, downtown or residential neighborhoods.

Ugly Christmas Garb Pub Crawl
When: Friday, December 26-28, 7pm-2am
Where: Sanford Avenue in Downtown Sanford
What: Wear your ugliest Christmas gifts at this fun pub crawl through Sanford Avenue! Participating venues: West End Trading Co., Shantell’s, Fat Rats Lounge, Buster’s Bistro (offering Karaoke that night), Wops Hops Brewing Company, The Purple Grape, and Little Fish Huge Pond.
Admission: Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at any of the participating bars. Up to $5 drink value at each of the 7 participating bars.

Central Florida Soap Box Derby – Holiday Rally
When: Saturday, December 27 & Sunday, December 28, starting at 7am; races start at 8am
Where: Derby Park, 2199 Oregon Ave, Sanford, FL
What: The 2-day holiday rally of the Central Florida Soap Box Derby.
