Sanford & Area

Cinco de Mayo at the Willow Tree Cafe
On May 5th starting at 6:00PM the Willow Tree Cafe German restaurant will turn Mexican! Celebrate Cinco de Mayo German style! From what I heard there will be a special Tequila Schnitzel and $3 Margaritas on the menu. The bartenders will even engage in a Margarita contest: you decide, who has created the best one? Since the WIllow Tree is always very busy (especially since the recent expansion) reservations are probably a good idea. Call 407.321.2204 for more info! Address: 205 E 1st St, Sanford, FL

Cinco de Mayo at Colonial Towne Center Lake Mary
On top of that, I just had lunch at Colonial Towne Park in Lake Mary and I can tell you, all the restaurants and bars are well prepared for tonight! Dexters (had an amazing Posole and Chicken Enchilada!), Liam Fitzpatricks and Corona Cigar Company all have food and drink specials, so check them out! Address: 950 Market Promenade Ave, Lake Mary, FL 32746

Sanford de Mayo Event
For those of us who missed the actual date: Sanford De Mayo – May 14th is Sanford’s Alive after Five Street Party honoring Cinco de Mayo! 5pm-9pm on First Street in downtown Sanford! Be prepared for Mexican inspired treats, music and drinks! This will be a fun event – see you there 🙂

General

As we all may have heard on the radio, Applebee’s is having Cinco De Mayo specials all day and night, so head out to your closet location!

Then there are also all the Mexican chain restaurants in case you feel like eating Mexican today for whatever reason: Don Pablos, Chili’s, Tijuana Flats (special menu and giveaways at all their locations including Sanford and Lake Mary), Chipotle (more like fast food, but sooo good!) to give you some ideas.

Last but not least, my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Orlando area: Emilianoz in Altamonte Springs! I had previously written about it on Day 58, so click here to learn more.

To end this post and top things off:

The opening date for Carlos’n Charlies in Lake Mary (previously mentioned on Day 179) has been released: Saturday, June 13th 2009 this area will be one special Mexican restaurant richer! Yay – I mean – Arriba, arriba! Can’t wait!!
